This month I’ve decided to write about a comic series that ended recently, but left tremors resonating through the back of my mind. The book Severed by Scott Snyder, Scott Tuft and Attila Futaki was a relatively short comic run, lasting only about seven issues, but it left a noticeable mark on my monthly pull list. Severed is a high impact sleeper hit that shocked me with its intense story direction and stunning visuals, the creative team behind these books take you on a ride you won’t forget. The general tone and feel of this horror story will leave scars in any preconceived notions you may have about what kind of emotions a comic book story could evoke.
