Greetings, Reader, and welcome! My name is Vince and I like comic books, a lot.

I’m the new jack here at Geek-Spire, sometimes reviewing but more often writing on and about the world of comics. I don’t claim to be an expert on the subject and I don’t know everything there is to know but I’m knowledgeable and proficient enough with words to explain and detail my thoughts on the medium. My reading list is formidable and my will to absorb the contents of comics is immense, I am a force to be reckoned with… if you happen to be a collection of sequential images paired with words on glossy paper. That in mind, you should know that I am unlike the heroes we read about, I am weak and human, full of errors, opinions, preferences and judgement. I pick favourites, and I dismiss things quickly. I am more of a DC then a Marvel, I like Vertigo, Dark Horse and Image as well. I refuse to read most IDW comics and I cant say I hold any warm nostalgia for the Ninja Turtles, Conan, Star Wars, Transformers or Buffy.

HOWEVER, with your powers at my disposal, dearest Reader, we can make this comic section one that you, your friends and fellow comic readers can all enjoy. I’m open to criticism and suggestions, whether you want to argue against me or recommend a series for me to read/write about. The reason I am open to your thoughts is because I no longer write for myself anymore. As masturbatory as critiquing can be, I will ultimately be writing for you because you can be both my source of power as well as my proverbial kryptonite. I write for you, the collective audience, and I would like to know what you want to read about. Therefore, never be afraid to post comments, shoot me some emails, or even appeal to me on twitter concerning the content in this section, Ill do my best to keep up. Whether its a pitch for a new segment or a topic you’d like to see covered, Ill do my best to read up on the subject and offer up my hand-typed sacrifice in your name.
